The Escrow Specialist I is responsible for establishing tax and insurance lines with appropriate vendor for newly originated loans. This position is also responsible for providing escrow figures on loan modifications to ensure the monthly payment is calculated correctly. Duties are to be performed in accordance with all US State and Federal laws/regulations as well as the company's outlined policies and procedures. The target pay for this position is $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr.
What you'll do:
* Complete all tasks and responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
* Review closing documents utilizing various resources to verify tax and insurance information to accurately set up escrow data within the system on newly originated loans.
* Validate tax due date, bill amount, parcel information and payees for all appropriate tax records and validate policy period, premiums, coverage type, and payee for all appropriate insurance records on newly originated loans.
* Create research tasks for our Tax and Insurance Vendors for additional research.
* Prepare and generate mock escrow analysis figures for a variety of loans which are pending modification.
* Populate escrow payments on newly modified loans.
* Escalates higher level and more complex escrow issues as needed.
* Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
* Provide productivity summary on a weekly and month-end basis.
* Prepare complete and accurate documentation and updates to mortgagor loans in the system.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Excel, Teams, & Outlook)

What you'll need:
* High school diploma or GED required. College education preferred but not required.
* Previous experience using mortgage loan servicing and loan originating systems (such as FiServ/Sagent, Encompass, Digital Portal, AutoPilot, and OnBase) preferred.
* Minimum of two (2) years related mortgage banking, and/or financial industry experience required.
