What impact you'll make The Commercial Operations Director will lead the Commercial Operations NAM Sub-Region, responsible for proposal generation, ITO risk mitigation and efficient functioning of all commercial operations processes. The Commercial Operations Director will manage the R-Process, Policy 5.0 compliance, proposal quoting and generation, contract negotiation including Master Agreements, and R3 turnover processes for all Transactional Services offerings in the assigned subregion. These include Upgrades, Field Services, Complex Upgrade packages, CS extra work, digital and cyber quote support where needed -- for Gas Turbine, Generators, Combined Cycle Steam Turbine & HRSG installed base. Key responsibilities * Partner closely with the Region Commercial Director to implement strategic plans minding the GEV guiding principles. * Collaborate with sub-regional ITR teams to meet financial targets for orders, sales, cash, and margin. * Apply LEAN principles---Standard Work, Daily Management, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement---to enhance commercial outcomes. Optimize resource allocation across sub-regions to ensure effective support and efficiency. * Oversee consistent and compliant execution of Policy 5.0 risk management processes, including deal screening (R0), resource allocation (R1), deal reviews (R2), and contract handover (R3). * Coordinate commercial deal reviews for ITO opportunities within the assigned sub-regions. * Ensure timely development of high-quality commercial proposals that align with customer needs and business objectives, in collaboration with sales and cross-functional teams (operations, pricing, supply chain, engineering, legal, etc.). * Govern signature authority and legal entity compliance within the assigned regions. Lead contract negotiations for Master Agreements, CS ExW, MYA Support, and transactional contracts. * Foster team development through coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities. * Prepare tenders as needed to support region quoting goals What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications) * Minimum 10 years of experience in GE Gas Power sales, commercial operations, engineering or execution operations * Bachelor's degree in engineering or business from an accredited university or college What will make you stand out * Deep commercial experience and customer relationships across assigned sub- Region. * Strong commercial expertise and customer relationships within the assigned sub-region * Experience in people leadership or direct supervision * Proven commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills * Success in leading within a matrixed organization * Strong communication and problem-solving abilities * Experience managing complex programs or projects * Background in leading LEAN initiatives GE employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, geographic location, and skill set. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas of the USA.
