As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll play a critical role in helping us leverage data to drive decisions that will shape the future of our online marketplace. You will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, finance, data & decision science, and other business lines to identify insights, optimize performance, and deliver actionable data-driven recommendations to drive marketplace performance. You'll be integral to building scalable data solutions supporting Hagerty's long-term goals and growth. Our business is growing rapidly, and there are many exciting initiatives to work on.

What you'll do
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Data Analysis
* Work with and across product, marketing, data & decision science, finance, and operations teams to conduct analyses, share insight, and drive data-driven decisions across all aspects of the digital marketplace.
* Analyze user engagement, product performance, and feature adoption within the marketplace.
* Provide insights that inform product development and prioritization, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
* Analyze customer data to uncover key insights into behavior, preferences, and pain points.
* Support segmentation and personalization efforts to improve the customer journey and engagement across the platform.
* Evaluate marketing campaigns, customer acquisition channels, and return on investment (ROI) for various marketing initiatives.
* Use data to optimize marketing spend via MTA and ROAS models, measure campaign success, and recommend improvements for customer targeting.
Business Intelligence & Market Insights:
* Provide comprehensive reports on marketplace trends, user behavior, and business KPIs.
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitor platforms, and dealer needs to adapt strategies and ensure Hagerty remains a top choice for dealers.
* Utilize data-driven insights to refine outreach strategies, measure success, and optimize the dealer acquisition process.
Financial Analysis:
* Analyze financial data to assess the financial health of the digital marketplace, including revenue streams, costs, profitability, and forecasts.
* Work with financial teams to align business strategies with financial goals and assist in budget planning.
Forecasting & Predictive Analytics:
* Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict marketplace trends, customer demand (buyers and sellers), and financial performance.
* Assist in setting business targets, operating plans, and strategic planning for long-term growth.
Optimization & Experimentation :
* Use A/B testing and other analytical methods to test new features, marketing strategies, and business initiatives.
* Provide data-backed recommendations for continuous improvement and growth.
Data Quality & Integrity:
* Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across multiple data sources.
* Own the development of data governance processes to improve reliability and integrity.
Dashboards & Reporting:
* Create dashboards and data visualizations highlighting key metrics, sales performance, and operational efficiency to understand the health of the marketplace business across functional areas.
* Stand up, refine, and lead the reporting workstream powering the WBR, MBR, and QBR cadences.
This might describe you
* Strong experience in a data analytics or data science role, preferably in e-commerce, marketplaces, or automotive industries.
* Advanced proficiency in SQL (SSMS, Snowflake)
* Expertise in Adobe Analytics for site analytics and digital marketplace insights
* Expertise in Tableau or other data visualization tools
* Proficient in R/Python for advanced data analysis and modeling
* Experience with data forecasting, particularly in creating marketplace pacing reports and setting goal targets
* Strong understanding of statistics and hypothesis testing for conducting experiments on the marketplace
* Experience taking unclean and unstructured data and converting it into usable data for analysis; ability to create your own semantic layers
* Proven ability to explore and document databases, ensuring they are usable for further analysis
* Experience analyzing customer CRM data and identifying insights for optimization
* Ability to work independently and act as an owner/leader for analytical projects

* This position can be worked as a remote position within the United States.
* Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations.
